Overview

Welcome to the History class. Our curriculum is designed to align with the Ghana Education Service's (GES) new curriculum, providing students with a comprehensive understanding of historical events and their significance. In our History class, students will explore various eras, civilizations, and cultures to gain insights into the past. They will learn about important events, influential individuals, and societal developments that have shaped the world we live in today.

Our curriculum covers a wide range of topics, ensuring a holistic understanding of history. Students will delve into the ancient civilizations of Ghana, etc., and discover the rich heritage of African history. They will also examine significant historical periods such as the colonial era, independence movements, and post-independence developments in Ghana. Through engaging discussions, interactive activities, and multimedia resources, our students will develop critical thinking skills, analytical abilities, and an appreciation for the diversity of human experiences. They will learn to analyze primary and secondary sources, evaluate historical interpretations, and construct well-reasoned arguments based on evidence.

In addition to fostering historical knowledge, our History class also promotes important values such as empathy, tolerance, and respect for diverse perspectives. Students will explore the ethical dimensions of historical events and develop an understanding of the impact of historical decisions on individuals and communities. At Cry to the Bride Mission School, we believe that studying History is essential for fostering active and informed citizenship. By understanding the past, students will be better equipped to navigate the complexities of the present and contribute positively to shaping a brighter future for themselves, their communities, and our global society.
